West Chester Veterinary Care (WCVC) is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our growing team. We are a two-doctor, general small animal practice and a Cat Friendly hospital committed to providing personalized, compassionate care to our patients and their families.

We take the time to build meaningful relationships with our clients and provide high-quality medicine in a supportive team environment. Our practice is an excellent fit for both newly licensed RVTs and experienced veterinary technicians who are looking for a collaborative workplace and a strong work-life balance.

What You’ll Do

Our RVTs play an important role throughout the hospital and will have the opportunity to work closely with doctors, clients, and patients. The majority of your day will be spent in exam rooms, treatment, or surgery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Triage and patient assessment
  • Outpatient and inpatient patient care
  • Technician appointments and drop-off appointments
  • Assisting doctors with appointments and procedures
  • Surgical preparation, assistance, monitoring, and recovery
  • Dental procedures and dental radiographs
  • Catheter placement and anesthesia monitoring
  • Surgical instrument sterilization and equipment preparation
  • Emergency drug knowledge and medication calculations
  • Patient discharges and client education
  • Accurate medical record documentation and charting
  • Treatment area and hospital cleaning and organization
  • Supporting the overall flow and teamwork of the hospital

What We’re Looking For

  • Current RVT/veterinary technician certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of veterinary technician experience
  • Minimum 1 year of surgical experience
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia monitoring, emergency drugs, and calculations
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a busy clinical environment
  • Open and flexible availability
  • Spanish-speaking skills are a plus, but not required

Schedule & Compensation

  • Starting pay: $24.00/hour, compensation based on experience
  • Full-time: 32+ hours per week
  • Monday–Friday, No weekends
  • Day shift, 7:45 AM and 6:30 PM
  • 8- and 10-hour shifts available
