About this role
Veronica Beard is seeking an Associate Art Director, Brand Creative with a strong focus on e-commerce photography and seasonal campaign support. Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Brand Creative, this role will oversee the creative execution of on-figure e-commerce imagery while supporting the broader Brand Creative team across seasonal campaigns and key brand initiatives. The ideal candidate has a highly refined eye for styling, composition, lighting, and retouching, with the ability to translate seasonal creative direction across both e-commerce and campaign environments.
Responsibilities:
• Own the creative execution of all on-figure e-commerce photography, ensuring imagery is elevated, consistent, and aligned with seasonal brand direction
• Art direct e-commerce shoots on set, guiding styling, posing, composition, and overall image quality
• Lead image selects and provide detailed retouching notes, maintaining a high standard of quality and consistency across all assets
• Oversee and manage the in-house retoucher, giving clear direction, feedback, and approvals throughout the post-production process
• Support seasonal campaign shoots, assisting with pre-production and on-set execution
• Collaborate with the broader Brand Creative team on seasonal creative initiatives, including campaign extensions, digital content, and special projects
• Partner with Styling, Production, E-commerce, and Merchandising teams during pre-production to align on casting, shot lists, styling, and shoot direction
• Ensure e-commerce imagery balances creative integrity with digital, merchandising, and business needs
• Manage post-production workflows and timelines, ensuring assets are delivered accurately and on schedule
• Maintain and evolve e-commerce photography standards, continuously refining lighting, composition, posing, and on-figure presentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including e-commerce, merchandising, and marketing to ensure seamless execution and delivery
• Ownership of photo shoots for our wholesale selling platform, JOOR, including overseeing pre-production, providing creative direction during the shoot, and ensuring assets meet brand guidelines and the needs of the wholesale team.
Requirements:
• 5-10 years of design and art direction experience in a related field (fashion / luxury a plus)
• Experience art directing e-commerce photography and managing retouching workflows
• Eye for design, clean + sophisticated aesthetic, and strong interest in fashion
• Strong voice, highly motivated, self-managed, and able to think independently
• Innovative thinker always seeking to grow and push brand direction forward
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro), Capture One, and Figma
• Well-rounded creative portfolio with design, branding, and art direction projects
• Previous experience at luxury lifestyle, fashion or creative agency is preferred
• Responds positively to feedback and adapts quickly to change
• Takes initiative and understands no task is too small
• Excellent interpersonal, time & project management, and communication skills
• Ability to work calmly under pressure, and meet tight deadlines with a strong sense of accountability
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
The base salary range for this role is between $90,000 and $100,000. The relevant base salary will vary depending on wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, degrees, and certifications. The base salary is just one component of our total compensation offerings, which consist of a comprehensive benefits package as well as a short-term incentive program, clothing allowance, and merchandise discounts
