Position Details
Position: Bicycle & Scooter Repair Technician
Compensation Type: W-2 Employee
Pay Rate: $21.00/hour
Location: 1653 12th St., Santa Monica, CA 90404
Available Schedule
Bicycle & Scooter Repair Technician – Full-Time
- Friday–Tuesday: 9:00 PM–5:00 AM
Important
Candidates must have reliable transportation to and from the warehouse and be able to commute to the Santa Monica location for every scheduled shift. Job Summary
Veo is seeking a Bicycle & Scooter Repair Technician to maintain and repair our electric vehicle fleet. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy solving problems, are comfortable working with their hands, and are passionate about helping make our communities safe and sustainable.
No electric vehicle experience is required. Candidates with professional or hobby experience repairing bicycles, scooters, cars, motorcycles, or other mechanical equipment are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive repairs on Veo’s electric bikes and scooters, from tightening bolts to replacing motors
- Conduct quality checks and routine inspections to ensure all vehicles meet safety standards
- Follow established processes to log and track maintenance records
- Track inventory levels for spare parts on an ongoing basis
- Maintain excellent warehouse organization and set a positive example for teammates
- Perform field tasks as needed, including battery swaps and vehicle redistribution
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- At least 1+ year of experience in maintenance, mechanical work, or automotive repair
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull electric bikes and scooters weighing up to 80 lbs
- Strong problem-solving skills and a self-motivated mindset
- Comfortable navigating and using smartphone apps
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Nice to Have
- Previous maintenance or repair experience with bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, automobiles, or similar equipment
- Basic knowledge of electronics
- Hands-on mechanical experience, whether professional or as a hobby
