Licensed Veterinary Technician

Veterinary Dental Specialties is hiring an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician with a passion for dentistry and anesthesia to join our Dublin team.

This is a part-time position with 10-12 hour shifts. There is no set schedule. Work schedules are posted 3 months in advance. This position earns a competitive wage of $30 to $35 per hour depending on experience. 

Technical abilities and skills 

• Induction, management, and recovery of anesthesia 
• Knowledge of common medications and filling medications 
• The ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment and commitment to 

building relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community is required. 

• Excellent communication and organizational skills are required. 
• The ability to deliver exceptional client service. 
• Proficient with administering subcutaneous fluids and injections, intramuscular and 

intravenous injections, intravenous catheters, CRIs, and calculations. 

• Surgical prep and assisting 
• Instrument and equipment sterilization and maintenance 
• Dental radiographs
• Knowledge of fluid pumps and fluid setup, including syringe pumps and administration 

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: 

• Two or more years of experience performing the above duties. (Required) 
• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) (Required) 
• Able to perform moderately physically demanding work that requires a lot of lifting (up to 50 pounds), cleaning, and constant motion. 
• Must pass a background and drug screening (THC not tested)
