About this role
What you'll be doing
- Designing and delivering hands-on training to upskill our case handlers and lawyers
- Coaching the team through complex cases — leasehold and lease defects, new-build and plot sales, unregistered land and first registration, defective title and indemnities, restrictive covenants and easements, complex enquiries and SDLT edge cases
- Supporting the team on live, high-complexity matters and helping them work through the difficult ones
- Building practical best-practice guides, checklists and SOPs the team can lean on
- Raising the overall standard, consistency and confidence of how we handle complex work — and helping reduce escalations
- Being an approachable, go-to expert people actually want to learn from
What we're looking for
- A qualified conveyancer — Licensed Conveyancer (CLC), Solicitor (SRA) or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) — with substantial residential conveyancing experience
- Deep, hands-on expertise across complex and non-standard transactions
- Real strength in training, mentoring or coaching — you can break down complicated topics and make them click
- An excellent, patient communicator who's great with people at all levels
- Sound knowledge of Land Registry practice, the Law Society Conveyancing Protocol and current regulatory standards
- The judgement to spot where a team's knowledge gaps are and the initiative to close them
The details - Where: Our Paddington office (Merchant Square, W2) — office-based
Basis: Daily rate TBC
What's in it for you
- The chance to shape and build the capability of a growing conveyancing team
- Genuine influence over how we work, our standards and our processes
- Variety — training, coaching and hands-on problem-solving, not the same file over and over
- A friendly, ambitious team and a modern central-London office in Paddington
- Scope to grow with a group that's expanding across legal, mortgage and property brands
