About this role
Position Overview: The Geology Intern will support USA Rare Earth’s rare earth exploration program at Round Top, based in Sierra Blanca, Texas. This role is designed for a graduate-level geology student with a strong academic foundation in mineralogy, economic geology, or a related discipline. The intern will gain hands-on experience with core logging, geological data collection and interpretation, sample characterization, and other exploration activities supporting the evaluation and development of the Round Top deposit. The role will work alongside experienced geologists and technical professionals while contributing to active exploration projects.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
• Enrollment in an accredited geology or geoscience program
• Basic understanding of geological mapping and logging principles
• Eagerness to learn field-based exploration methods
• Ability to commute to and work in a remote field environment
• Interest in the mining industry

Work Environment:
The work environment will be a mix of a typical office environment, construction site, and active mining site. This work will be performed on-site at Round Top Mountain, including on drilling pads, and in the on-site core storage facility.
Noise level:
Exposure will vary and include normal office noise, mining site noise (i.e. drilling activity and heavy equipment noise), and construction site noise depending on project phase and location.
