About this role
Position Overview:
The Production Associate is responsible for crafting and assembling custom orthotics based on detailed specifications and designs. This role involves precision, attention to detail, and proficiency in working with a variety of tools and materials. The Fabricator ensures the final product meets quality standards and is completed within established timelines.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):
- Fabricate and assemble custom orthotics according to specifications and blueprints.
- Cut, shape, grind, sand, mold, and finish materials using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with the Corrector and other team members to resolve production issues.
- Maintain and troubleshoot fabrication tools and equipment as needed.
- Document production processes and update records as required.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist in inventory management, including monitoring material levels and reporting shortages.
- Support other lab functions as needed to ensure production deadlines are met
Required Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience
- CMA or RMA certification preferred
- Experience with medical terminology
- Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic environment
- Detail-oriented, professional, and patient-focused
- Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed
- Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
