Please note this position has a compensation range of $18.00-$22.00 per hour.

Position Summary:  This position under general supervision, operates as part of the care team performing a variety of non-patient facing functions including, processing referrals, biologics processing, and other duties regarding patient visits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.

    Provides customer service satisfaction to patients in a courteous and professional manner in accordance with performance standards

    Works incoming referrals logs and contacts patients to schedule appointments.

    Work closely with all members of the clinical team to provide high quality, efficient care to patients and their families

    Communicate directly and indirectly with the Provider in order to appropriately coordinate patient care. 

    Discuss patient concerns over the phone and/or via the electronic health record.

    Communicate lab & other test results to patients per protocol.

    Manage and monitor the biologics process for applicable patients

    Communicate adjustments or changes in treatment plans to patient as instructed by Provider. 

    Provide patient education as directed per protocol.

Experience Requirements

    Minimum one-year experience in a clinical environment

    Ability to take direction and collaborate and work with other staff

Education, Licensure & Certification Requirements

    High School diploma or equivalent 

    Associates degree or related healthcare certification, preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements

    Strong attention to detail and accuracy, professional attitude, reliable

    Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information

    Ability to communicate in an active multi-office environment

    Ability to efficiently operate all job-related office equipment

    Ability to follow or provide verbal and written instructions

    Ability to relate to persons with diverse educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds

    Basic to intermediate computer operation

    Mathematical and/or analytical ability for basic to intermediate problem solving

    Specialty knowledge of systems relating to job function
