GENERAL SUMMARY (What is done and why)

The Post Closing Processor is responsible for reviewing all incoming mortgage closing packages and documents for accuracy, uploading electronically, and filing originals. In addition to supporting Secondary Sales with Investor loan sales, monthly/annual audit requests and responding to departmental requests for documentation.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, IN PRIORITY ORDER (Majority of duties, but not meant to be all inclusive or prevent other duties from being assigned as necessary)

1. Checking in and auditing all incoming closing packages and documents for accuracy, scrub and scan all closing documents to be uploaded into our LOS system. Monitor the Post Closing inbox, and work directly with Credit Union members, internal partners, and external vendors to obtain missing documentation and correct outstanding issues/errors. Time: 50%

2. Pulling Notes and supporting the Secondary Market team with investor loan sales. Supporting requests for monthly/annual audits. Respond to internal requests for loan documentation. Time: 40%

3. Responsible for handling various post-closing reports, the paid off loan report and record retention for all mortgage files. Time: 5%

4. As assigned by your manager, actively participate in departmental projects and keep internal procedures updated. Time: 5%

 

EDUCATION (Minimum education required to perform the duties of this position)

· High school diploma required

 

EXPERIENCE (Minimum experience required to perform the duties of this position)

In addition to the education requirement:

· Two years of experience in real estate processing and or lending preferred.

· Two years of experience with Encompass, United’s LOS and a Core Operating system experience preferred.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Minimum technical and communication skill levels and licenses/certificates normally required to perform the duties of this position)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS (Physical effort generally associated with this position)

Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, but most work is done from a seated position. There is potential for eyestrain from reading detailed printouts and computer screens. Work may include occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds such as files, documents, and computer printouts.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS (Typical working conditions associated with this type of work and environmental hazards, if any, that may be encountered in performing the duties of this position)

Internal Work is normally performed in climate-controlled office environment, where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, poor ventilation, fumes and gases is limited. Noise level is moderate and includes sounds of normal office equipment (computers, telephones, etc.). No known environmental hazards are encountered in normal performance of duties. Length of day is unpredictable; long hours may be required to accommodate deadlines or special meetings.
