Job DetailsJob Category: Information TechnologyThe Infrastructure DevOps Engineer is responsible for modernizing, managing, and building our enterprise cloud and infrastructure platforms. The role sits within the IT Infrastructure team and is responsible for enabling automation, standardization, and operational optimization across all AWS and Azure infrastructure and platform services. The Infrastructure DevOps Engineer will work closely with the entire infrastructure team while providing services and support to all development projects.

This senior position creates, manages, and maintains operational processes and procedures for the IT organization. This position requires a strong mixture of technical and professional skills and is seen as a technical leader.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, implement, and maintain DevOps CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform workloads
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar templates
Develop and expand automation using Ansible and modern cloud capabilities
Automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of cloud infrastructure
Support cloud landing zones, subscriptions, resource groups, and naming standards
Partner with application and platform teams to provide reliable, reusable infrastructure patterns
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using log analytics to measure usage and performance
Support security and compliance requirements including identity, encryption, logging, and access controls
Participate in operational support, incident response, and root cause analysis
Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and runbooks
Work with Systems Administrators to develop, document and implement operational procedures
Troubleshoot to resolve infrastructure, network, and software related issues

QualificationsSKILLS REQUIRED

AWS and Azure cloud engineering, automation, and management
Experience with deploying and supporting container platforms
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and pipeline security controls
Proficiency with scripting language including Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, Go, .NET
System administration of enterprise Windows and Linux servers
Experience in regulated environments such as mortgage, banking, or financial services
Understanding of ITIL, SRE, or platform engineering concepts
Offers expert opinion and recommendations on work priorities
Great verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills, decisiveness, and sound judgment
Knowledge of current and evolving information technologies, such as telecommunications, electronic data distribution networks, cloud-based infrastructure solutions, and IT best practices
Ability to manage time and adapt to changes in workflow

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant IT degree program
Experience working on large projects to gather requirements and deploy resources as required to support the development teams
5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering rol
5+ years designing and implementing AWS and Azure infrastructure and platform services
Solid understanding and hands-on experience with DevOps practices and pipeline controls
Professional experience as a technical lead for less senior teammates and working across multiple lines of business on all levels of project work

Preferred: CompTIA A+, CCNA, Cloud Admin or Engineer certificates
