Position Overview

At Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), Project Managers are key to delivering successful outcomes from start to finish. Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Collaboration & Customer Interaction  
    • Collaborate with outside sales, operations manager, and customers to understand the project
    • Solve complex issues in a timely manner
    • Coordinate with operations for delivery of material to the job site
    • Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications
    • Document all aspects of any given project through sales orders, purchase orders, order acknowledgements, submittals, emails and/or other forms of correspondence.
    • Work with suppliers and vendors for product information, lead-times, and shipping details
    • Purchase material for assigned jobs. Select vendors, negotiate best price for purchased material and have knowledge of vendor pricing

     

  • Estimating & Submittals
    • Take Sales calls and receive orders
    • Prepare material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service
    • Create submittals and transmit them to customers
    • Create “take-offs” on doors, frames and hardware
    • Create machine sheets and other design specs for frame, door and hardware products as necessary

     

  • Miscellaneous
    • Support our values in the stand areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customers
    • Other duties as assigned

     

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years with Wood Doors, Hollow Metal Frames and Commercial Door Hardware
    • DHI certification a plus
    • Knowledge of contract documents
    • Experience with large projects
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong reading comprehension
    • Attention to detail
    • Strong time management and organizational skills
    • MS Word and Excel
    • Knowledge with Specworks, Comsense, Protech or similar industry related software preferred
    • Current knowledge on codes, products and design changes for doors, frames and finish hardware

    The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
