As part of our growing team, we are seeking a Research and Evaluation Analyst to partner with our Community Planning and External Relations (CPER) colleagues in assessing the effectiveness of our programs and initiatives.

The Research and Evaluation Analyst will play a critical role in assessing the effectiveness of our programs and initiatives. This position will involve designing and implementing research projects, analyzing data, and communicating findings to support decision-making and enhance our impact. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and an industrious disposition. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct research and evaluation projects with supervision, including needs assessments, program evaluations, and outcome measurements. 
  • Develop data collection tools (surveys, interviews, focus groups) and protocols to ensure the validity and reliability of data. 
  • Conduct literature reviews, identifying relevant literature, reading and summarizing articles, reports and chapters, and synthesizing key findings and relationships in writing. 
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using statistical software and other analytical tools. 
  • Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with program staff to develop evaluation frameworks and performance metrics. 
  • Provide training and support to staff on data collection and evaluation practices.  
  • Stay updated on best practices in research and evaluation methodologies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public health, or a related field. 
  • Experience in research and evaluation, particularly within a non-profit or social services context.  
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Careful attention to detail 
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Stata, R) required 
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics) desirable. 
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences. 
  • Engages and works collaboratively; able to effectively deal with ambiguity and respond to issues with diplomacy.  
  • Consultative approach; operates with a high degree of respect for professional colleagues and lay leadership

 Reports To: Planning Director, Data and Insights 

Salary Range: $68,000 - $70,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications listed above.
