We are looking for a Digital Technology Lab Technology & Operations Specialist who is proactive, solution-oriented, and collaborative to join our Digital Technology Patient Solutions team, based in our office in Slough, United Kingdom.
About the Role
You will play a key role in defining, implementing, and managing technology solutions that support Research & Early Development activities, particularly within Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) environments. Your expertise will ensure that lab automation platforms and scientific IT systems are effectively integrated, compliant, and aligned with business needs.
Who You’ll Work With
You will be working in a team that partners closely with Research stakeholders, Digital Technology colleagues, Quality Assurance, and Compliance teams. Together, you will ensure that technology solutions enhance productivity, maintain compliance, and support research innovation.
What You’ll Do
- Define and implement digital solutions for GxP lab automation and data management
- Oversee compliance of GxP IT systems, ensuring proper documentation and validation
- Act as the DT System Owner (DTSO) for key GLP and GCP applications
- Your focus will be mainly on GCP systems for research, typically systems used for modelling and simulations applications in the Quantitative Clinical Pharmarcology (QCP) area
- Provide third-level technical support for the systems you will own
- Lead vendor coordination and internal IT Subject Matter Experts for scientific applications
- Project Management: Drive technology selection, implementation, and lifecycle management for research systems
- Support internal and external audits and ensure follow-up on corrective actions
- Collaborate with global Digital Technology teams to align on compliance strategies (incl. developing frameworks to develop validation frameworks for AI systems and capabilities used in Research)
Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills
- Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field
- Strong technical affinity with IT systems and scientific instrumentation
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role within GxP environments
- Experience in managing digital lab automation and research workflows
- Experience with Modeling and Simulations tools, e.g. Nonmem, R, Python,…
- Knowledge of IT compliance frameworks (e.g., Computerized Systems Validation)
- Ability to manage stakeholders in an international, multidisciplinary environment
- Experience in technology project management, from strategy to implementation
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English, ideally with a good knowledge of French
