About this role

  • Carry out independent research that contributes to the aims of the PI’s NIH grant (participate in experimental design, carry out experiments, analyze and interpret data, document experimental findings).

  • Mentor undergraduate and graduate student researchers.

  • Contribute to manuscript and proposal writing.

  • Manage lab equipment, supplies and ensure compliance with safety protocols in the laboratory.

  • Participate in lab meetings, seminars and professional training opportunities.

  • Present research results at local and national meetings.



  • A Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, or a related field, and three years of experience.

  • Expertise in common cell and molecular biology experimental methodology.

  • Experience working with undergraduate or graduate students.

Preferred

  • Expertise in Microbiology and/or Immunology.

  • Candidates are desired who are enthusiastic about mentoring students with a broad range of perspectives and experiences.
