About this role
Carry out independent research that contributes to the aims of the PI’s NIH grant (participate in experimental design, carry out experiments, analyze and interpret data, document experimental findings).
Mentor undergraduate and graduate student researchers.
Contribute to manuscript and proposal writing.
Manage lab equipment, supplies and ensure compliance with safety protocols in the laboratory.
Participate in lab meetings, seminars and professional training opportunities.
Present research results at local and national meetings.
A Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, or a related field, and three years of experience.
Expertise in common cell and molecular biology experimental methodology.
Experience working with undergraduate or graduate students.
Preferred
Expertise in Microbiology and/or Immunology.
Candidates are desired who are enthusiastic about mentoring students with a broad range of perspectives and experiences.
