- Assist with partnership tax matters, including K-1 preparation/review, allocations, and composite state filings
- Manage and maintain tax configurations and taxability settings within NetSuite and Avalara
- Reconcile tax accounts and ensure accurate tax accruals within the general ledger
- Research and analyze the tax implications of business transactions, new products, and state nexus issues
- Support international tax compliance matters, including assisting with foreign filings, transfer pricing documentation, and cross-border reporting requirements (e.g., Forms 5471, 5472, 8858, as applicable)
- Assist the broader tax team with international tax planning, entity structuring, and foreign tax provision matters
- Respond to and manage federal and state tax notices and audits
- Identify opportunities to improve tax processes, controls, and automation
- Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, FP&A, and Legal on tax-related matters
- Assist the VP of Tax with tax planning initiatives and special projects
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior tax team members, as applicable
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master's in Taxation, CPA, JD, or LLM a plus
- 8+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally including a mix of public accounting and industry/in-house experience
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. federal and state corporate income tax compliance and provision (ASC 740)
- Experience with domestic tax matters and partnership taxation (K-1s, allocations, composite returns) is a plus
- Working knowledge of international tax concepts (e.g., GILTI, Subpart F, FDII, foreign tax credits, transfer pricing) and ability to assist with international tax compliance matters
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite and Avalara strongly preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with large volumes of data
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders
- Self-motivated and comfortable operating in a fully remote environment
Nice to Have
- Prior exposure to international tax compliance or provision work (e.g., foreign entity filings, transfer pricing, cross-border transactions)
