We are seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of one of our residential communities. This position works closely with the Property Manager to ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, resident satisfaction, and overall property success.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and experienced in affordable housing programs. Experience with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties is required.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the community
Process rental applications, income verifications, certifications, recertifications, and compliance documentation
Ensure compliance with LIHTC and other affordable housing program requirements
Assist with Section 8 and subsidy program administration
Respond promptly and professionally to resident inquiries, concerns, and service requests
Coordinate maintenance work orders and follow up to ensure timely completion
Maintain accurate resident files and documentation to support audits, inspections, and reporting requirements
Prepare resident notices, correspondence, and community communications
Assist with rent collections, delinquency management, and resident payment follow-up
Support property inspections, REAC readiness efforts, and compliance reviews
Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and community partners
Deliver exceptional customer service to residents, applicants, and visitors
Qualifications
2–5 years of property management experience required
LIHTC experience required
LIHTC Certification preferred
COS Certification preferred
Affordable housing experience strongly preferred
Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Yardi experience preferred
Strong organizational, administrative, and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication, customer service, and resident relations skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with onsite teams
Compensation & Benefits
$24.00–$26.00 per hour
Full-time, 40 hours per week
