Key Responsibilities
- Own the commercial development of the Polypropylene (PP) and Polyethylene (PE) business in Turkey, driving sustainable growth in sales volume, revenue, margin, and market share.
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve annual sales, profitability, and business growth targets.
- Build, maintain, and expand long-term relationships with key customers, suppliers, and strategic business partners across the Turkish polymer market.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, acquire new customer accounts, and expand the company's presence within target market segments.
- Monitor market trends, supply and demand dynamics, pricing movements, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to identify commercial opportunities and potential risks.
- Lead commercial negotiations, negotiate annual contracts and spot transactions, and conclude profitable purchase and sales agreements while effectively managing pricing, credit, and commercial risks.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans for the assigned product portfolio, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Coordinate closely with global trading, logistics, supply chain, finance, and operations teams to ensure the efficient execution of transactions and deliver the highest level of customer service.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across functions and regions, contributing to a positive, high-performance, and team-oriented working environment.
- Maintain a high level of market intelligence by providing regular updates on customer needs, industry developments, competitive landscape, and emerging growth opportunities.
- Manage customer credit exposure in close cooperation with the finance team and support timely collection of outstanding receivables.
- Maintain accurate sales pipelines, customer activity, and market information within the company's CRM and reporting systems.
- Represent the company through regular customer visits, industry events, exhibitions, and business travel within Turkey, strengthening the company's market presence and customer relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial procedures, and applicable trade regulations while conducting business ethically and professionally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in polymer, petrochemical, chemical, or related B2B sales, with solid knowledge of PP and PE markets.
- Demonstrated success in developing business, managing key accounts, and consistently achieving commercial targets.
- Strong commercial mindset with excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative team player who builds strong working relationships across departments and contributes to a positive team culture.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Turkey and internationally.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in both Turkish and English is required.
