Job Description

 

Title: Consulting and Sales Arborist


Reports to: General Manager and President


Description: As a Consulting and Sales Arborist for Anderson’s Tree Care, you will be responsible to provide clients with advice on tree maintenance, tree protection during development, implementation of best management practices for tree care, evaluation of tree health, providing written proposals, and the completion of projects for care of their trees. 


This position requires an ability to correctly identify tree species, an understanding of how trees work, knowledge of common tree diseases and pathogens, the impact of common construction practices on tree health, local municipal policies, attention to detail, adaptability, self-motivation, and organizational aptitude. 


The Consultant will have a positive attitude and a professional approach when interacting with customers and with colleagues in diagnostics, customer service, sales, and operations. 


Duties: Meet with Clients

Recommend management options (pruning, removal, Plant Health Care) for care of their trees.

 Thorough knowledge of Plant Health Care Practices

Create Tree Protection During Development plans

 Report Writing and Monitoring Reports

 Write proposals and enter into agreement with clients.

 Follow up on site recommendations.

 Perform inventories.

 Continuing education

Qualifications: Degree in Urban Forestry or equivalent

Experience in consulting arboriculture

 Certified Arborist

 Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ)

 QAL License from California Department of Pesticide Regulation

 

Goals: Ability to achieve $1M or more in sales annually

Set goal for annual consulting revenue at $200,000

Develop cold call expertise

Sit for BCMA Exam
