About this role
The primary responsibilities will be supporting the procurement department in data analysis, communication, assisting in developing data supported efficiency improvements, and supplier development.
Essential Functions:
1. Cost Savings and Efficiency Projects – 35%
- Collect and analyze site-wide data, including defining, measuring, and tracking categories for spending to support procurement decision-making
- Extensive communication between intercompany suppliers, buyers, and design.
- Create and update detailed process instructions to support risk management and efficiency.
2. Supplier/Product Setup and Maintenance – 35%
- Assist purchasing create new products with supporting data and check for duplicates.
- Assist purchasing create new suppliers and assist in supplier assessment.
- Review old products, correct setup issues, add missing data
3. Other – 30%
- Occasional buyer support including placing purchase order requests, negotiating, etc.
- Detailed report review
- Monitor and adjust safety stock levels based off usage and lead times
Education/Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
- Minimum bachelor’s degree required
- 4 years related experience in procurement, finance, etc. may replace college education.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good MS Office Skills including Excel, and data management experience.
- 4 years’ Management Experience in manufacturing environment
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow in an efficient way.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
