About this role

Essential Functions –
 
  • Food preparation: Cooking patties , fries, chicken strips and other food preparation tasks 
  • Food safety: Following food safety procedures to prevent cross-contamination and food-borne illnesses 
  • Kitchen cleanliness: Keeping the kitchen clean and organized  
  • Waste reduction: Helping to reduce waste 
  • Health department regulations: Ensuring all health department regulations are met 
  • Attention to detail: Paying close attention to detail 
  • Teamwork: Working well with others
  • Must be able to work Weekends (Saturdays & Sundays) 
Work Environment –
Indoors  They often work early mornings, late evenings, weekends

Physical Demands –
  • Lifting over 20lbs      Standing: Working in a kitchen often involves standing for long periods of time. 
  • Lifting: BOH staff may need to lift heavy pots, pans, and other items, such as boxes of chicken or patties. 
  • Bending: BOH staff may need to bend frequently to reach items in low places. 
  • Repetitive motions: BOH staff may need to perform repetitive motions with their hands, fingers, and wrists. 
  • Working in different temperatures: BOH staff may need to work in spaces with varying temperatures. 
Operating equipment: BOH staff may need to safely operate grills, ovens, slicers, and other equipment.
