We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to help keep our facility and equipment in top working condition. You’ll be part of a high-energy, safety-first team that ensures smooth operations through preventive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and facilities upkeep. 🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play a key role in keeping our equipment humming and our workplace safe and functional. Your main mission? Make sure production operations run efficiently by maintaining and repairing everything from mechanical systems to HVAC units.

Your day-to-day will include

Performing maintenance and repairs on machinery and facility systems, carpentry, pipefitting, plumbing, electrical (high voltage), mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and HVAC
Diagnosing and fixing equipment that's down or underperforming, getting us back on track quickly
Executing preventive maintenance routines using a structured work order format
Assisting and guiding outside contractors during night shifts
Supporting maintenance needs at other Tnemec facilities when required
Adhering to safety procedures including Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Confined Space Entry, Hot Work Permits, and HMIS/PPE safety protocols
Efficient use of materials, equipment, and company resources
Recommending safety, job method, or equipment improvements to shift leads
Attending manufacturer-provided training and traveling to other sites as needed
Performing other duties as assigned to support plant success

💪 Essential Functions

Continuous standing or walking for up to 6 hours per shift
Frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 100 pounds
Bending, twisting, and repetitive motion throughout your shift
Manual dexterity and use of hands for tools and equipment
Working in warm environments (up to 105°F in summer) and occasionally in wet, humid, or outdoor conditions
Operating forklifts, drum dollies, and performing occasional elevated surface work
Navigating moderate noise environments with proper PPE

You'll collaborate with

Lead personnel and supervisors
Quality Control (QC) and Operations teams and our Safety Department
Fellow maintenance professionals and team members from other departments
Occasionally, external contractors and vendors

🔧 Tools & Equipment You'll Use

Pumps, motors, meters, agitators, and scales
High-speed dispersion equipment
Forklifts and hand dollies
Electrical schematics, VFDs, PLCs, and other machinery
Hand tools and diagnostic equipment

Required Knowledge & Experience

Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
Strong problem-solving skills in practical, real-world situations
Team player who’s flexible and ready to jump in wherever needed
Experience in industrial maintenance or similar setting preferred (minimum of 1–2 years)
Able to work independently and responsibly with minimal supervision
Valid drivers license
Basic computer skills

Education & Certifications

High school diploma or GED
Technical certification preferred
