Title

Manager (Sustainability & Risk Risk Management)

Reporting To

Senior Manager (Sustainability & Risk)

To manage sustainability, enterprise, and compliance-related risks across NED Group, ensuring risks are systematically identified, assessed, mitigated, and monitored.

Accountability & Responsibility

Risk Framework Implementation

  • Implement NED Group risk management frameworks covering ESG, climate, operational, regulatory, and compliance risks.
  • Maintain and update sustainability and business risk registers across subsidiaries.
  • Ensure risk assessments are conducted consistently and in a timely manner.

Risk Monitoring & Assurance

  • Monitor risk mitigation actions, controls, and effectiveness.
  • Review incidents, near misses, and emerging risk indicators.
  • Escalate material risks and control gaps to senior management.

Risk Advisory

  • Provide risk advisory support to development, construction, and operations teams.
  • Support assessment of new projects, technologies, and business initiatives from a risk perspective.
  • Contribute to turnaround, recovery, and remediation planning.

Risk Reporting

  • Prepare risk summaries, dashboards, and escalation papers.
  • Support group-wide risk assessments and assurance reviews.
  • Ensure alignment with TNB Group risk requirements.

Subsidiary Oversight: Manage and coordinate subsidiary risk oversight activities including planning and managing Risk Circle activities. Assurance & Review: Lead and manage regular risk assessments and analyses activities (as guided by relevant TNB frameworks) 

  • To perform data analysis and provide insights on the likelihood and potential impact of identified risks and opportunities.
  • Prioritize risks and assess feasibility of mitigation actions and provide recommendations where necessary with a focus on sustainability-driven risk management.
  • Propose/provide insights on new emerging risks and assess feasibility of mitigation actions and provide recommendations where necessary.

Education and Knowledge

  • Bachelor Degree in relevant discipline 
  • Professional certification/Masters in related discipline is an added advantage

Experience Requirements

  • Malaysian citizenship

      1  to 5 years experience, following experience/skills are added advantage:

  • Risk, governance and compliance management
  • Communication and presentation 
  • Event and/or Project Management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
