Manager, Legal
Reporting To
Senior Manager Legal
Mission (Sources of Values)
To deliver major RE initiatives in order to spur growth and sustainability of NED's investments through effective legal & regulatory management, advisory and compliance.
Accountability & Responsibility
Pre-Transactions & Due diligence
- To manage, on behalf of NED, in legal and of due diligence for transactions.
- Formulate process and protocols to identity risks associated with transactions.
Post Transaction
- To manage completion of post-transaction matters relating to legal matters.
Asset Management
- To manage legal aspect on matters relating to agreements such as on shareholder, sales and purchase and project documents.
- To assist in reviewing existing agreements and give critical insights on any operational issues relating to the executed agreements for improvement purposes
- To assist in reviewing existing agreements and compile inputs and opinions on any operational issues relating to the executed agreements for improvement purposes
- To advise on litigation and disputes; and to coordinate with internal and external lawyers in dispute resolution process
Others
- Assist internal client in project development activities.
- Negotiate, review and draft legal and project documents.
- To conduct research and provide legal opinion to internal clients in relation to business.
- To manage post-acquisition legal issues in relation to acquired assets.
- Active management of legal risk in collaboration with team to implement effective mitigation strategies.

- Total portfolio EBIT / PAT
- Zero non-compliance / litigation
- Project execution within timeline
- No of supported projects.
- External cost within budget.
Competencies
Education and Knowledge
Bachelor of Law with minimum 6 years of working experience.
Experience Requirements
• Malaysian citizenship
• Minimum six (6) years of working experience with preference power or related business
• Equipped with research & analytical skills.
• Excellent written & communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Experience or knowledge in Corporate Law or M&A transaction would be an advantage.
