About this role
Nationwide is partnering with TMCF to host an invitation-only immersion experience for a select group of high-potential TMCF scholars. This experience will provide participants with direct exposure to Nationwide leaders and career opportunities, including formal interviews for Nationwide’s Summer 2027 Internship Program.
This year’s Immersion will focus on internship opportunities across three key business areas:
- Nationwide Technology
- Nationwide Financial (NF)
- OCFO – Corporate Finance
- Human Resources (HR)
Because Nationwide has a limited number of interview opportunities, applicants must provide complete and accurate information about their major, class standing, GPA, work authorization, and willingness to relocate. Please answer all application questions thoroughly and honestly. Incomplete or inaccurate information may delay your application review or result in disqualification from consideration.
Scholars selected for the Nationwide Immersion will participate in the program October 13–15, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio, at Nationwide.
This Immersion is specifically designed to connect TMCF scholars with potential Summer 2027 internship opportunities at Nationwide. Students should apply only if they have a genuine interest in exploring career opportunities with Nationwide and are prepared to participate in conversations and interviews related to potential internship placement.
Please note: Selection for the Immersion does not guarantee an internship offer. However, selected scholars should be prepared to actively engage with Nationwide professionals and be considered for internship opportunities aligned with the business areas listed above.
Responsibilities
Nationwide is recruiting for three specific business areas during this Immersion. Please review the preferred majors below, then select your primary (and, if applicable, secondary) area of interest. Your responses here directly determine which interviews you are eligible for — please be accurate.
Nationwide Technology
Focus: internal and external-facing technology, including Technology Enterprise Solutions, Corporate Technology & Workplace Solutions, Software Engineering Solutions, and Security & Infrastructure.
Preferred majors: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems/MIS, Data Science/Data Analytics.
Nationwide Financial (NF)
Focus: retirement savings, annuities, life insurance, and sales.
Preferred majors: Finance, Financial Planning, Economics, Business Administration, Sales.
OCFO – Corporate Finance
Focus: Internal Audit, Controllership, Economics, Enterprise Risk Management, and Enterprise Analytics.
Preferred majors: Accounting (required for Controllership consideration), Finance, Economics, Analytics/Data Analytics.
Human Resources (HR)
Focus: enterprise HR strategy and operations, organizational culture, associate experience, and talent programs.
Preferred majors: Human Resources Management, Organizational Leadership, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, Communications.
Qualifications
- Classification: Juniors (graduating December 2027–August 2028)
- Pursuing a degree as outlined above
- GPA: 3.0+ cumulative
- Currently authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of the internship. (No current or future visa sponsorship required for internship employment.)
- Able to participate in Nationwide’s Summer 2027 internship program (12 weeks, full-time).
- Able to meet hybrid / inoffice expectations for the assigned location, as defined by the hiring team.
- Strong willingness to relocate to the Columbus area for a full-time opportunity.
