Overview

Are you a student interested in exploring various career paths within the machinery and equipment industry? Titan Machinery offers a Student Career Exploration Program designed to provide hands-on experience across our Service, Parts, and Sales departments. This program will give you a comprehensive view of our operations, enhance your product knowledge, and help you develop valuable skills for your future career.

Responsibilities

  • Product Knowledge: Learn about different equipment brands, attributes, descriptions, and parts
  • Department Exposure: Gain hands-on experience with computer programs and operations within each department (Service, Parts, and Sales)
  • Training Participation: Participate in department demonstrations and training sessions as applicable
  • Service Experience: Shadow professionals in diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning machine systems and components
  • Product Assembly: Learn the basics of setting up and assembling products
  • Equipment Detailing: Assist with washing and detailing equipment as needed, adhering to safety limits appropriate to your age
  • Documentation Understanding: Learn about the documentation required for service, parts, and sales transactions
  • Communication Skills: Understand how to effectively communicate issues and resolutions to supervisors and customers
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments
  • Customer Relationship Building: Gain exposure to building relationships with customers by analyzing requests and presenting professional solutions
  • Professional Development: Attend department and area meetings, develop independent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
  • Networking: Engage with team members, manufacturing partners, and customers to expand your professional network
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • Enrollment in in high school or pursuing a GED and 16 or above
  • Ability to work a minimum of 4hrs/week for a minimum of 12 weeks
  • Ability to provide quality work and think logically
  • Understand professional communication skills
  • Individuals who have completed high school or GED, or who drop out of their educational program, are ineligible for this program
