The Physical Therapist Technician is responsible for tasks delegated to her/him to provide effective customer service, quality of rehabilitation procedures, and to ensure a smooth operation for the clinic.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Answers patient questions quickly, politely, and directs patient requests to the appropriate staff.
Contact and schedule new patients and reschedule current patients and no-shows as needed.
Prepare paperwork and physical environment for the patient.
Maintains the medical record for each patient and keeps charts in compliance with necessary forms.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to service patients based off of their plan of treatment.
Works with referral and insurance sources to obtain information needed to file insurance claims, facilitate understanding with patients and to work within assigned benefits.
Provides patients with an exit questionnaire upon patient discharge.
Other duties as assigned.

Education / Training / Requirements
Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology preferred.
One to three months related experience.
Current CPR certification.
Physical Demands
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to climb or balance for limited periods of time.
Ability to occasionally reach, bend, stoop and lift up to 30 lbs. *
Ability to grasp and hold up to 25 lbs.*
Ability to hear normal voice level communications in person or through the telephone.
Ability to speak clearly and understandably.
Ability to smell.
