The Warehouse Process Engineer will support the Warehouse department reorganize over 80,000+ unique parts to maximize efficiency and support the low-volume high-mix production schedule. The Warehouse engineer will be cross trained to perform various tasks in Purchasing, Receiving, and Kitting and Inventory. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Support de-trashing of stored material and material handling 
    • Usage reports on lower level parts
    • Material handling and space efficient packaging methods
      • Understanding of proper material handling practices 
    • Supply chain coordination on packaging and sample sizing 
  • Prepare Inventory analysis 
  • Identify and sort slow moving inventory and high usage inventory
  • Support accurate inventory traceability by cycle counting and part tracking
  • Support the improvement of floor stock Program
  • Support implementation of material barcoding system 
  • Conduct wall to wall inventory checks / inventory audits 
  • Other projects based on management discussion, data analysis, and identified opportunities
  • Support the improvement of kitting process efficiency by analyzing workflows and identifying areas for enhancement
  • Report daily activities to responsible supervisor
  • Ensure all work processes meet safety standards and address any safety concerns

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to translate technical recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to create effective solutions for a wide range of challenges
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data, create reports, and provide insights to decision-makers.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and supply chain management.
  • Project management skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using presentation software to communicate complex information to management

Education and/or Experience:  BS in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing systems engineering or similar). 

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
