POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The job of Preschool Teacher is done for the purpose/s of planning, organizing and implementing an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary)

Provide supervision for students from all grade levels offered by school outside of instructional hours.
Create multi-level activities for students of various age levels
Manage daily schedule expectations
Communicate with families of students in the program as needed
Communicate with school staff and administration regarding student engagement and behavior
Manage attendance of students in program
Maintain program expectations in coordination with school policies
QualificationsEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):

High School Diploma

Up to date TB test

First Aid/CPR Certified

IVP Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Positions in this class typically require: stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.

Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
