Optometrist / Ophthalmologist – Independent Medical Evaluations

Poughkeepsie, NY | Flexible Location | Per-Evaluation Compensation

The IMA Group is seeking a licensed Optometrist or Ophthalmologist to conduct independent eye examinations focused on vision loss and visual impairment. Work from an IMA location or your own private practice office if you have the required equipment. This is a flexible, evaluation-only opportunity with no treatment, prescribing, follow-up care, or on-call responsibilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments
  • Perform visual acuity, visual field, automated perimetry, and related testing
  • Review medical history and documentation
  • Prepare objective, accurate medical reports

Compensation: Approximately $75 per completed evaluation, with the potential to complete multiple evaluations per hour depending on case complexity.

Qualifications

  • OD, MD, or DO with an Ophthalmology specialty
  • Active, unrestricted New York license
  • Board certification preferred
  • Strong clinical and documentation skills
