Unified Communication Engineer (Warsaw, 60% remote) – Frontex

Profile: Unified Communication Engineer. Level Advanced.

Place of performance: Frontex Headquarters – 40% on-site, 60 % remote.

Duration of the mission: 48 months.

Security Clearance: Is required (required from day 45 of assignment) - CONFIDENTIAL UE/EU CONFIDENTIAL.

Minimum level of education: Level 6.

Minimum English language skills: B2.

Minimum IT relevant experience: 5 years (3 years in relevant roles).

Award Criteria: 35% Price / 65% Quality.

Minimum required scoring for interview: 60%.

Rate: Flexible. The rate offered depends on the candidate’s level, in accordance with the European public grading system. Further details are available upon discussion.

· NWH: 210 days x 4 years.

· EWH: 18 days x 4 years.

· On Call Duties 2096 hours x 4 years.

Required technical certificates: Not required. Any certificates provided will be a plus.

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge:

· [01] Excellent practical knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server technology including Exchange Hybrid.

· [02] Experience in administration of complex Exchange topology deployed in distributed environments.

· [03] Practical experience with administering Microsoft Skype for Business Server.

· [04] Expert in optimizing, tuning and planning capacity of Exchange Server.

· [05] Experience in optimizing, tuning and planning capacity of Skype for Business Server.

· [06] Practical experience with administering communication features of MS Teams.

· [07] Experience in Exchange patch management.

· [08] Experience in Skype for Business patch management.

· [09] Expertise in analysing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.

· [10] Basic Knowledge in administering other Microsoft systems.

Skills:

· [11] A proactive attitude, team-work spirit, being self-motivated with a strong user orientation.

· [12] Able to cope with the fast-changing technologies.

· [13] Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technologies, technical and business concepts to multiple audiences.

Specific requirements

· [01] Practical experience in managing Connex/Dencrypt communication platform.

· [02] Practical experience in administration of desk sharing, group calendar, room panel applications (TimeFlex).

· [03] Advanced proficiency in writing and maintaining scripts using the Microsoft Teams PowerShell module and Exchange Online PowerShell.

· [04] Experience automating bulk user provisioning, license assignment, and repetitive configuration audits across M365 and on-premises environments.

· [05] Active EU security clearance at Confidential level (or higher).

· [06] Experience in working in Restricted environments.

· [07] Proven ability to create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including system architecture designs, operational procedures, and user instructions.

· [08] Effectively collaborating with colleagues, stakeholders, and vendors from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Typical tasks and responsibilities

· Administration of Exchange Servers.

· Administration of Skype for Business Servers.

· Administration of Exchange Online service.

· Administration of MS Teams service including Teams Phone.

· Acting as 2nd line of support, processing related in different environments (production, testing, development).

· Troubleshooting reported incidents and problems and updating status of open requests in the ticketing system in a timely manner.

· Liaising with other administrators and harmonizing solutions and processes.

· Architecting long term changes to unified communication platforms.

· Contribution to specifications for solutions based on or integrated with unified communication platforms.

· Liaising with developer teams in aligning topologies and configuration of unified communication platforms according to the need of the project.

· Maintenance of system documentation.

· Participate in the development of documentation for new solutions.

· Reporting on activities.

· Other specific duties as assigned by supervisor.
