Position: Senior Project Manager.
Location:
Near-site (Brussels).
Rate:
570€/day.
Start date:
To be confirmed (ASAP).
Language:
Services will be provided in English. Consultants must have at least a C1 level, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Minimum post-secundary education required: at least 4 years of studies attested by a diploma.

Minimum professional experience required: a minimum of 8 years of post-academic professional experience, 6 of them at least in a similar position.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery within agreed objectives, scope, timelines, budget, and quality standards.

  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of project activities, monitoring progress and ensuring alignment with project plans.

  • Deliver high-quality results while managing project constraints, priorities, and dependencies.

  • Ensure the efficient allocation and utilization of project resources.

  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing appropriate mitigation and resolution strategies.

  • Develop and maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, ensuring transparency, alignment, and timely reporting.

  • Facilitate collaboration between technical teams, business stakeholders, and external partners to achieve project objectives.

Specific expertise:

  • Proven experience in project management methodologies and best practices.

  • Hands-on experience with project management and collaboration tools, particularly Atlassian Jira.

  • Experience in project planning, scheduling, resource management, and progress tracking.

  • Strong knowledge of risk, issue, and stakeholder management.

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale financial, procurement, or grant management systems.

  • Proven experience applying Scaled Agile frameworks (e.g. SAFe, LeSS) in enterprise-level projects.

  • Experience working for an international organisation, previous experience working with DG SANTÉ is considered particularly advantageous.

Certifications required:

  • Project Management: PM2 or equivalent is mandatory.
