About this role
The Shaw JCC is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Swim Team Head Coach to lead and organize our youth swim team during the summer season. The coach will play a vital role in developing swimmers’ competitive skills while fostering teamwork, discipline, and strong sportsmanship.
The ideal candidate is passionate about youth development, knowledgeable in competitive swimming techniques, and committed to creating a positive and safe team environment.
We are looking for a head coach who is energetic, organized, and passionate about helping young athletes grow—not just as swimmers, but as respectful and sports-minded individuals. Education and Qualifications:
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification
- American Red Cross CPR Certification for the professional rescuer
- American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification (Preferred)
- Coaching Certifications and/or experience (Preferred)
- Well versed with Meet Manager Software
- Prior swim coaching or competitive swimming experience perferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to positively engage with youth athletes and families
Monday - Thursday from 8am-11am
