IT Technician

We are seeking a dedicated, resourceful IT Technician to support our school's technology needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic educational environment and is passionate about helping staff and students succeed through reliable technology.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical support for Windows 11 desktops and laptops.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
  • Perform hardware repairs and upgrades on desktops and laptops.
  • Support and maintain Office 365 accounts and applications.
  • Assist teachers and staff with basic tech troubleshooting
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
  • Collaborate with the IT team and vendors as needed.
  • Assist with equipment moves, technology setups, and deployments between school locations.
  • Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions as needed.

 

What You Bring

  • Demonstrated experience supporting Windows 11 computers in a professional environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Office 365, including common Office applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing desktop and laptop hardware.
  • Experience troubleshooting printers, scanners, and other common peripherals.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, including Wi-Fi, Ethernet, IP addresses, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple requests, and work independently.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Must have a reliable personal vehicle and the ability to travel between school sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a school or educational setting.
  • Basic networking knowledge (Wi-Fi, routers, switches).
  • Intune and Google Workspace knowledge.
  • Experience with Active Directory and/or Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Experience working with ticketing/help-desk systems.
  • Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or equivalent experience.
