About this role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Office Engineer to join our team and support the successful delivery of construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Technical Office works, Quantity Surveying, BOQs, quantity take-offs, invoices, Variation Orders, shop drawings, and project documentation, with a solid understanding of both the technical and commercial aspects of construction projects.
The role requires strong coordination with Site, Procurement, Planning, and Project Management teams, along with excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities and meet project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate quantity take-offs based on drawings and project specifications.
Prepare and review BOQs, quantity breakdowns, and supporting documents.
Prepare, review, and follow up on invoices for subcontractors and the Main Contractor / Client.
Review contract drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications.
Prepare and follow up on Variation Orders (VOs), additional works, and related supporting documents.
Support cost estimation and rate analysis activities.
Coordinate with Site, Procurement, Planning, and Project Management teams.
Maintain accurate technical and commercial project documentation.
* Ensure all technical office deliverables are completed accurately and within project deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Technical Office works, preferably within construction and contracting companies.
Strong experience in Quantity Surveying (QS) and preparing accurate quantity take-offs based on drawings and project specifications.
Strong experience in preparing, reviewing, and following up on invoices for:
Subcontractors
Main Contractor / Client
Ability to prepare and review BOQs, quantity breakdowns, and supporting documents for invoices.
Experience in reviewing contract drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications.
Ability to prepare and follow up on Variation Orders (VOs), additional works, and related supporting documents.
Good knowledge of cost estimation and rate analysis is preferred.
Proficiency in engineering software, particularly:
AutoCAD
Microsoft Excel – Advanced Level
Revit – Preferred
ASD (AutoCAD Structural Detailing) – Preferred
Primavera P6 / Microsoft Project – Advantage
Strong coordination skills with Site, Procurement, Planning, and Project Management teams.
Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines.
