About this role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior UI/UX Designer to join our team at MicroBIM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating intuitive, user-centered, and visually engaging digital experiences for our software products.

In this role, you will work closely with product managers, software developers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs, translate complex requirements into effective design solutions, and ensure a seamless user experience across our products. You will play a key role in shaping the overall user experience and visual direction of MicroBIM's software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end UI/UX design process, from research and concept development to final design and implementation.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and software applications.
  • Conduct user research and gather feedback to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Translate complex technical and business requirements into simple, intuitive, and user-friendly experiences.
  • Develop and maintain design systems, UI guidelines, and reusable design components.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers and product stakeholders to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
  • Conduct usability testing and continuously improve product designs based on user feedback and insights.
  • Ensure consistency in design, branding, and user experience across different products and platforms.
  • Present and communicate design concepts and decisions clearly to internal stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, technologies, and best practices.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers when needed.
  • 3–5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX Design, Product Design, or a similar role.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating experience in designing digital products, web applications, or software platforms.
  • Proficiency in Figma and other relevant design and prototyping tools.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and UX methodologies.
  • Experience creating wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity user interfaces.
  • Strong knowledge of responsive design and usability best practices.
  • Experience working closely with software development teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a strong visual design sense.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Experience with BIM, AEC, engineering software, or Autodesk products is highly preferred.
