Job Title: CNC Operator/Programmer

Job Description: The CNC Operator/Programmer is responsible for operating and programming 3-axis CNC routers to cut parts for assembly into game components. This role also validates and verifies the accuracy and quality of all items leaving this team.

Direct Manager: CNC and Print Production Lead

Hours & Schedule:

Expected Weekly Hours: 40-45

Travel Expectations: None

Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm (possible exceptions: new store launch, new game installation, emergency maintenance or other emergencies related to your job)

On-call: No

Growth:

Someone in this role can grow into the following roles: CNC Lead, Project Manager, Production Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Program toolpaths for 3-axis CNC cutting of wood, MDF, and plastics based on existing production designs

  • Prepare files in Enroute and Vectric VCarve Pro for cutting on Multicam 3-axis and Laguna routers

  • Access, organize and maintain appropriate cut files in Google Drive

  • Communicate with component designers and carpenters

  • QC sign-off for all items leaving CNC area (compared to the design measurements) before releasing them to the shop

  • Minimize waste

  • Maintains frequently used parts, supplies and backstock by checking inventory levels, anticipating needs, and submitting requests for supplies

  • Maintain a safe, clean working environment

  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations

  • Additional duties as required

  • Knowledge of safe shop tool operation

  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
