The Cincinnati Insurance Companies' Personal Lines Risk Management Department is seeking a Risk Management Specialist to support our Southwest and Western regions. This role plays a vital part in evaluating residential properties with insured values up to $3.5 million, ensuring accurate replacement cost valuations, identifying risk exposures, and developing practical loss prevention recommendations that help protect our policyholders and support profitable growth.

Through direct training, mentorship, and collaboration with experienced risk management professionals, you will develop expertise in residential property valuation, risk analysis, loss prevention, and insurance operations.

The pay range for this position is $46,000 - $79,000 annually.  Pay is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities.  Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

This position is based in our Arizona office and supports agency and policyholder relationships throughout the Western United States.

Be ready to

  • review property inspection reports to determine accurate replacement cost values, evaluate risk exposures, identify potential loss hazards, and develop clear, actionable risk improvement recommendations
  • apply knowledge of inflation trends, market conditions, and construction cost escalation factors to support accurate property valuations
  • conduct regular interviews with contractors, builders, and industry professionals to stay informed of construction costs, labor markets, and building trends throughout the Southwestern and Western United States
  • partner with agents and internal associates to effectively communicate findings, recommendations, and valuation insights
  • collaborate with Territory Advisors, underwriters, and field business partners across the country to support underwriting and risk management objectives
  • develop expertise in residential construction methods, building materials, and high-value home features, including luxury and custom-built properties
  • prepare timely, accurate reports and complete assignments within established service standards and deadlines

Bring education and experience from: 

  • bachelor's degree required. We encourage applications from recent graduates across a broad range of majors. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong critical thinking skills, intellectual curiosity, and an interest in developing a career in Risk Management
  • professional insurance designations such as CPCU, and CPRIA are encouraged and supported as part of career development
