About this role
The Physician Assistant under the direct supervision of a Physician performs a variety of functions and technical procedures necessary for admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up and outcome evaluation. Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive health care services. Participates in performance improvement, research and educational activities.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) Program or equivalent as approved by the New York State Education Department.
- New York State Licensed Physician Assistant
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
- New York State mandated Infection Control Course certificate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
