Job Summary:

As a Housekeeping Turndown Attendant, you will be responsible for preparing guest rooms for the evening by providing discrete, high-end evening service that creates a relaxing, flawless atmosphere. Learn more about Broadmoor here.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include following. Other duties may be assigned:

 

  • Remove decorative pillows and place them on closet shelf, luggage rack or bench.
  • Places throw blanket on overstuffed chair.
  • Close windows, draw bedroom drapes or close black-out curtains, adjust soft mood lighting, and set soothing background music or television channels if specified Broadmoor standards.
  • Picks up and organizes guest shoes, clothing, magazines, and belongings.
  • Change bed linens as necessary.
  • Replaced used towels, wipe down sink, bathtub, toilet, and floor areas; tidy personal items neatly, and restock bath amenities.
  • Replenish ice buckets, set out fresh bottled water with glasses, and places chocolates on the nightstand.
  • Empty trash cans, clear away room service trays or dishes, and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately.
  • Greet guests warmly using clear, unprofessional language, respect privacy with quiet efficiency, and follow up later rooms marked with “DO NOT DISTURB” Signs if the status changes.
  • Deliveries guest request items if needed or requested.
  • Stocks work cart at the end of the shift.
  • Ensure complete compliance with The Broadmoor guidelines, operational procedures, safety policies, and institutional standards for excellence (Forbes Travel Guide and AAA Five-Diamond).
  • Maintain a willingness to learn about The Broadmoor’s history, estate grounds, wilderness properties, culinary offerings, and retail outlets.
  • Execute additional duties and responsibilities as required.

What we are looking for:

 

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or guest service is highly preferred; however, an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional background will be considered.
  • A highly motivated team player who connects easily with colleagues and drives results through positive energy and seamless collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation, conflict resolution and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs. with assistance and proper safety practices.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the calendar of events.
