Job Summary:

As a Housekeeping Lobby Attendant, you will ensure that all public spaces-including the main lobbies, entranceways, public and staff restrooms, lounges, corridors, locker rooms and office-are immaculate, safe, and welcoming always. In a luxury setting, this role serves as a visible ambassador of the Broadmoor, requiring a polished appearance, utmost discretion, and an exceptional eye for detail. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include following. Other duties may be assigned:

 

  • Meticulously dust, polished, and sanitizes all high-touch surfaces, metal work, furniture, brass fixtures, glass doors, elevators, and artwork in the lobby and public zones.
  • Constantly vacuums carpets, washing walls and ceilings, sweeps, and mops herd-surface or marble flooring to remove debris, spills, or footprints; using appropriate equipment and ensure the upkeep of all equipment.
  • Inspect and cleans public restrooms on a frequent schedule, ensuring mirrors shine, trash is emptied, and paper goods or hand soaps and lotions are fully restocked.
  • Empties and cleans decorative wastebaskets, ash urns, and recycling bins throughout public zones.
  • Collect solid linen and debris and maintain housekeeping cart, driving hotel vehicles to various locations as deemed necessary.
  • Maintain inventory and post caution signs, as necessary.
  • Greetings guests warmly, answers general property inquiries, offers immediate assistance, and anticipates guest needs with a professional demeanor.
  • Identifies and immediately reports any broken furniture, burn-out light bulbs, or facility damages to the supervisors or executives.
  • Responds quickly and discreetly to sudden cleaning needs, such as spills or broken glass, minimizing guest disruption.
  • Secures and logs of any items left behind in public areas according to strict Broadmoor Lost and Found policy.
  • Ensure complete compliance with The Broadmoor guidelines, operational procedures, safety policies, and institutional standards for excellence (Forbes Travel Guide and AAA Five-Diamond).
  • Maintain a willingness to learn about The Broadmoor’s history, estate grounds, wilderness properties, culinary offerings, and retail outlets.
  • Execute additional duties and responsibilities as required.

What we are looking for:

 

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial is highly preferred; however, an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional background will be considered.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, as this role may involve transporting equipment across the Resort. Please note that all employees operating Broadmoor vehicles must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High standard of cleanliness with the ability to independently notice and correct minor flaws in presentation.
  • A highly motivated team player who connects easily with colleagues and drives results through positive energy and seamless collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation, conflict resolution and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs. with assistance and proper safety practices.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the calendar of events.
