Job Summary:
As a Housekeeping Inspector, you will serve as the quality control link between room attendants, supervisors, and executives. You will evaluate guest rooms, test electronics and fixtures, and report maintenance needs to keep the property flawless while ensuring that Departmental and hotel policies and procedures are followed, and that cleanliness and service standards are maintained. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Use detailed device checklist to inspect guest rooms, suites, and VIP areas for absolute cleanliness, proper linen alignment, and correct amenity placement; and ensure that all Forbes and AAA standards within scope of responsibility are properly executed.
- Test all lights, electronics, appliances, and plumbing fixtures to verify they work correctly.
- Conducting frequent formal and informal performance audits as outlined within the department’s room inspection program.
- Inspect between twenty to thirty guest rooms per shift and communicate pertinent information to the team regarding daily expectations.
- Log and report any repair needs or engineering issues directly to maintenance or via HotSos.
- Orient new and current housekeepers on cleaning methods, safety rules, and luxury presentation guidelines and engage in the employee improvement process.
- Provide detailed information about guest requests and follow up to ensure timely delivery and accurate execution.
- Communicate real-time room readiness with the supervisors and executives using mobile devices.
- Provide valuable leadership including support, encouragement, and employee recognition.
- Aids in the completion of guest room attendant assignments by performing duties such as making beds, debris, and soiled linen removal, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning and supplying guest rooms.
- Responsible for key policy procedures, assigning and maintaining equipment and protecting Broadmoor property.
- Actively participates in fire/safety drills and attends regularly scheduled meetings and applicable training classes.
- Assist in linen and supply inventories.
- Ensure complete compliance with The Broadmoor guidelines, operational procedures, safety policies, and institutional standards for excellence (Forbes Travel Guide and AAA Five-Diamond).
- Maintain a willingness to learn about The Broadmoor’s history, estate grounds, wilderness properties, culinary offerings, and retail outlets.
- Execute additional duties and responsibilities as required.

What we are looking for:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent.
- Previous one to three years related experience in housekeeping supervisory, and hospitality is highly preferred; however, an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional background will be considered.
- Exceptional observational skills to catch minor flaws in dusting, placement, and overall room setup.
- Ability to directly and indirectly supervise up to 30 employees within scope of responsibility.
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation and email communication.
- A highly motivated team player who connects easily with colleagues and drives results through positive energy and seamless collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills, negotiation, conflict resolution and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs. with assistance and proper safety practices.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the calendar of events.
