Job Pay Range: $17.00 - $19.00 / hour (Inclusive of hourly pay rate + service charge)

  • Breakdown: Based on $16.32 per hour base wage + service charge commission paid per shift; historically, this position averages service charge commission earnings of $2.00 - $4.00 per hour. Service charges fluctuate based on the time of year.
  • This position always earns at least the current Colorado minimum wage $15.16 per hour.

 

Job Summary:

As a Convention Services Attendant Conference & Events, you will be a vital behind-the-scenes force responsible for maintaining the flawless, five-star appearance prior to and after events of the Broadmoor’s meeting spaces, ballrooms, pre-function areas, and exhibition halls. Combining meticulous attention to detail with physical agility, this role ensures that all group event environments reflect the elite cleanliness and hospitality standards of a luxury property. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include following. Other duties may be assigned:

 

  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and polish marble, hardwood, and tile floors in all convention and public corridors.
  • Vacuum expansive carpeted ballrooms, shampoo rugs, and steam upholstery to remove stains proactively.
  • Dust, sanitize, and polish furniture, light fixtures, chandelier, architectural millwork, and brass/chrome details.
  • Wipe down and polish glass doors, mirrors, and partitions to maintain a smudge-free aesthetic.
  • Conduct frequent deep-cleaning and restocking of high-end guest restrooms within the convention area.
  • Assist the banquet team in removing trash, debris, and soiled linens immediately during or following the conclusion of an event.
  • Serve as the rapid-response contact to clean up accidental spills, broken glass, or debris during high-traffic sessions.
  • Maintain the meticulous organization, cleanliness, and par levels of all convention stuff and supply closets.
  • Supports process of maintaining exterior furniture including proper placement when associated outdoor space is being utilized for a function, and with seasonal removal and storage.
  • Ensure heavy-duty cleaning equipment (e.g., commercial buffers, vacuums) is cleaned, inspected, upkeep, maintenance, repairs, and recommended purchase; and safely stored daily.
  • Report any maintenance issues, paint scuffs, broken fixtures, or safety hazards immediately to the supervisor, manager, or engineering department.
  • Anticipate and address guests’ needs with genuine appreciation, warm eye contact, and professional body language.
  • Fulfill sudden guest or event-planner request promptly.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding high-profile corporate clients, celebrities, and proprietary event information.
  • Ensure complete compliance with The Broadmoor guidelines, operational procedures, safety policies, and institutional standards for excellence (Forbes Travel Guide and AAA Five-Diamond).
  • Maintain a willingness to learn about The Broadmoor’s history, estate grounds, wilderness properties, culinary offerings, and retail outlets.
  • Execute additional duties and responsibilities as required.

What we are looking for:

 

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent.
  • Previous one to three years of experience in hospitality or housekeeping is highly preferred; however, an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional background will be considered.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, as this role may involve transporting equipment across the Resort. Please note that all employees operating Broadmoor vehicles must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation and email communication.
  • A highly motivated team player who connects easily with colleagues and drives results through positive energy and seamless collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation, conflict resolution and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs. with assistance and proper safety practices.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the calendar of events.
