Job Summary:

As a Banquets Steward, you will be responsible for maintaining spotless sanitary conditions across all kitchens, dish rooms, and back-of-house service areas. This role ensures all chinaware, silverware, glassware, and cookware are pristine and ready for fine dining or banquet services; and is the backbone of our world-class culinary operation, supporting our talented Chefs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include following. Other duties may be assigned:

 

• Remove food from dirty dishes and place them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
• Operate and maintain commercial dishwashing machines, wash pots, pans by hand, and follow strict health and safety policies.
• Keep floors, walls, worktables, refrigerators, meat blocks, and work surfaces clean, safe, and free of debris throughout the shift.
• Segregate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers include steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Polish silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth.
• Organize chinaware, silver, and glassware in designated storage areas. Track cleaning supplies and report shortages and assist with service inventory.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas, also load or unload trucks picking up or delivering supplies and food.
• Assist culinary and service teams with banquet setups, breakdowns, or clearing areas as needed.
• Make coffee as needed.
• Ensure complete compliance with The Broadmoor guidelines, operational procedures, safety policies, and institutional standards for excellence (Forbes Travel Guide and AAA Five-Diamond).
• Maintain a willingness to learn about The Broadmoor’s history, estate grounds, wilderness properties, culinary offerings, and retail outlets.
• Execute additional duties and responsibilities as required.

What we are looking for:

 

• Minimum of a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent.
• Previous experience in stewarding or kitchen utility is highly preferred; however, an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional background will be considered.
• A highly motivated team player who connects easily with colleagues and drives results through positive energy and seamless collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills, negotiation, conflict resolution and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 100 lbs. with assistance and proper safety practices.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by the calendar of events.
