The Clinical Nurse provides direct care to residents and students as ordered by consulting physicians.

Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
- Provides health assessment of each client for general health maintenance, evaluation of illness and injury and any necessary follow up care.
- Administers medications and treatment as prescribed by the attending physician.
- Communicates with outside referral sources, providers, parents/guardians, and insurance companies.
- Provides accurate documentation of illness, injuries and other nursing related issues.
- Obtains lab specimens as needed.
- Administers immunizations and TB testing of children.
- Administers and reads tuberculosis testing of staff, if required.
- Participates on Treatment Teams of children.
- Conducts medical assessments on clients after restraints and/or seclusions, as indicated.
- Collects Health Office data and generates reports as requested by the Director of Nursing and Medical Services.
- Monthly monitoring of resident BMI, heights, weights, and vital signs.
- Transcribes orders, maintains supplies, and administers medications and procedures documenting accordingly.
- Completes admissions screenings and documents accordingly.
- Triages, schedules, and assists with doctor examinations as necessary.
- Assists with the training of staff in various areas; medication management, CPR, and first aid.
- Participates in team meetings.
- Attends trainings and meetings as required.
- Shares/transmits the mission and vision of Arrow Child & Family Ministries to staff and to clients and families served.
- Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, Arrow policy, and COA standards.
- May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete Arrow’s vehicle training.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED with current MD Board of Nursing license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and at least two (2) years of experience, preferably in a residential setting or school setting.
