Job Description

Teledyne DALSA is a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies Inc., a U.S. publicly listed enterprise, and specializes in the manufacture, design, research and development of high-performance CMOS and CCD image sensors and modular expandable cameras. Teledyne DALSA's products are used worldwide in machine vision, document scanning, image capture, surveillance, process monitoring, manufacturing inspection, medical imaging, and multimedia.

The Space & Defense group develops both full custom and semi-custom image sensors, focal plane arrays, and cameras for Airborne & Space applications. We are looking for a Design Specialist- Test (II) to join our team in Waterloo.

The Design Specialist is responsible for the design, performance, and maintenance of both the hardware and software involved in evaluating the performance of products or their component parts. This role involves collaboration with multiple process groups and the integration of a variety of tools.

The duties and responsibilities outlined below reflect the core functions of the role. However, the organization may assign additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to meet operational and strategic objectives. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as the scope of the role may evolve in response to changing business needs.

What You Will Do:

· Learn and follow relevant design standards, procedures, techniques and test methodologies with particular attention to protection of intellectual property.

· Learn and utilize relevant development and productivity tools.

· Evaluate and test components and/or sub systems

· Communicate as necessary with engineering support groups

· Learn about existing test systems, procedures, and documentation.

· Make minor modifications to existing tests files.

· Test products on existing test setups.

· Extract test results into reports for review.

· Follow established test plans.

· Assist manufacturing associates when a problem with a deployed test arises.

What You Need:

  • College Diploma and a minimum of 6 years of related experience or a Bachelor`s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience

  • Relevant field of study such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline

Salary Range:

$62,900.00-$83,900.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
