Overview
When Alfred Fain founded a small Rhode Island tire store in 1924, at the time no one could have predicted how Teknor Apex would become an international custom compounder sought out by companies around the world. After a nearly hundred-year journey that’s carried us through acquisitions and expansion, we now have nine U.S. locations, as well as operations in Belgium, Singapore, Germany, and China.

In this role the Business Intelligence Manager leads our BI team and drives the development of our global business intelligence solutions. The BI Manager has the following primary responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of business intelligence strategies and solutions that support the organization's goals and objectives
- Manage a team of BI professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Design, develop and maintain IBM Cognos Analytics reports, dashboards, and cubes to provide actionable insights and drive informed decision-making
- Develop and maintain data models, ETL processes, and data quality assurance procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used in business intelligence solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize business requirements and ensure that the BI solutions meet the needs of the business
- Monitor and maintain the performance and availability of business intelligence solutions, including identifying and resolving issues as they arise
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in business intelligence and provide recommendations for improvement and innovation
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Preparation and delivery of effective presentations is essential.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Degree in IT, Engineering, similar field, or experience
- 8-10 Years in Information Technology
- 3 or more years in a leadership capacity
- Cognos (v11 preferred) experience required
- MS SQL experience required
- Infor M3 ERP experience a plus
