About this role

Power Platform Developer

Location: US, Tysons Corner- Hybrid | In-Office Options

About the Role

TechnoMile is seeking a Power Platform Support Engineer to join our Client Delivery / Support team. In this role, you will own day-to-day operational support of Power Platform and Dynamics 365 environments — prioritizing and triaging incoming tickets, troubleshooting functional and technical issues, and either resolving them directly or escalating with a clear diagnosis to the appropriate development or architecture team. This position is focused on production support, stability, and issue resolution rather than net-new solution development.

The ideal candidate is a strong troubleshooter with a working knowledge of Power Platform and Dynamics 365 components, is comfortable working directly with clients under SLA pressure, and knows when to fix an issue versus when to route it. You will work closely with Solution Architects, Developers, Functional Consultants, and client stakeholders across the support lifecycle.

What You’ll Do:

  • Monitor, prioritize, and triage incoming support tickets based on severity, business impact, and SLA commitments.
  • Perform first-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis across Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate flows, classic workflows, and Dataverse configuration issues.
  • Resolve issues directly where possible; escalate to development or architecture teams with clear diagnostic notes, repro steps, and impact assessment when resolution requires code-level or architectural changes.
  • Guide and support end users and client stakeholders through configuration issues, access/security problems, and functional "how-to" questions.
  • Monitor solution health post-deployment, including flow failures, plugin errors, workflow errors, and integration failures, and drive them to closure.
  • Validate and support deployment activities, including managed/unmanaged solution imports and promotions across Dev/Test/UAT/Prod environments.
  • Perform basic health checks and troubleshooting on supporting Azure resources — app registrations, service principals, and Key Vault-stored secrets/certificates used by Power Platform integrations.
  • Support troubleshooting of SharePoint-integrated document management setups used alongside Dataverse and Power Automate.
  • Maintain accurate ticket documentation, root cause records, and knowledge base articles for recurring issues to reduce repeat incidents.
  • Coordinate with Solution Architects, Developers, and Functional Consultants on complex or cross-functional escalations.
  • Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting Power BI reports, datasets, and scheduled refresh failures where applicable.
  • Participate in on-call or rotational support coverage as required by client SLAs.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience supporting, triaging, and troubleshooting tickets in a production support, service desk, or managed services environment, with demonstrated ability to prioritize by severity/impact and either resolve or escalate with a clear, actionable diagnosis.
  • High-level working understanding of model-driven apps, Power Automate flows, classic workflows, and plugins — able to read configurations, interpret error/trace details, and identify likely fault points without necessarily building these from scratch.
  • Solid understanding of how Dynamics 365 / Dataverse deployments work, specifically managed vs. unmanaged solutions, solution layering, and import/export behavior across environments.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical client stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working directly with clients under ticket SLAs and managing competing priorities across multiple open issues.
  • US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Azure app registrations, service principals, and Azure Key Vault as used for Power Platform/Dataverse authentication and secure credential management.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint site and library setup and its integration points with Dataverse and Power Automate.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI — reports, datasets, and troubleshooting refresh or data connectivity failures.
  • Microsoft certifications such as PL-200 or PL-400.
  • Familiarity with ALM/DevOps tooling (e.g., Azure DevOps) and ITSM/ticketing platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk).
  • Exposure to Dynamics 365 (CE/F&O) as it relates to Power Platform extensibility.
