Job Title: Mitigation Crew Lead

Location: SERVPRO of Allentown

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday + On-Call Emergency Response Rotation

Target Compensation: $50,000 – $60,000 Total Annual Earnings (Base Pay + Overtime + Mitigation Bonuses)

Position Summary

SERVPRO of Allentown is looking for a high-energy, motivated Mitigation Crew Lead to run point on emergency restoration jobs throughout the Lehigh Valley. When property owners face sudden water, fire, or mold emergencies, you will step in as the trusted leader on site—managing job logistics, directing production technicians, operating state-of-the-art drying equipment, and guiding clients through unexpected loss.

This role offers a strong hourly base with heavy overtime opportunities during active weather events and lucrative performance-based mitigation bonuses for high-quality, efficiently run jobs.

Key Responsibilities

  • On-Site Leadership & Execution: Lead 1–3 production technicians on-site for water damage, fire/smoke cleanup, mold remediation, and emergency board-ups.

  • Emergency Response & Scoping: Respond promptly to emergency service calls (adhering to SERVPRO’s quick-response standards); inspect properties, take initial moisture readings, map affected areas, and formulate an efficient drying plan.

  • Technical Restoration Work: Supervise and perform containment setup, controlled demolition, standing water extraction, air mover and dehumidifier placement, and structural drying according to IICRC standards.

  • Jobsite Management & Quality Assurance: Oversee job flow, maintain strict safety compliance (PPE, OSHA standards), ensure tool/vehicle upkeep, and complete end-of-day cleanups.

  • Client & Adjuster Relations: Serve as the professional face of SERVPRO on site—explaining the mitigation process to homeowners, managing expectations, and collecting required work authorizations.

  • Digital Documentation: Accurately document project progress using mobile job-management software (uploading photos, moisture readings, psychrometric logs, and daily progress notes).

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on emergency mitigation experience (Water/Fire/Mold) with proven field leadership skills.

  • Certifications: IICRC WRT (Water Damage Restoration) certification highly preferred; ASD or FSRT certifications are a strong plus (Paid company training available for top candidates).

  • Physical Ability: Must be comfortable working in tight spaces (crawls, attics) and able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

  • Drive & Flexibility: Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record and a willingness to participate in an on-call emergency rotation.

  • Skills: Excellent communication, a sharp eye for detail, and strong problem-solving skills under pressure.

Compensation & What We Offer

  • Competitive Earnings ($50,000 – $60,000 Target): Reliable base wage, substantial overtime pay during high-volume periods, and direct job-performance bonuses.

  • Benefits Package: Health, Dental, and Vision insurance available following a standard waiting period.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO): Earned vacation time and paid holidays.

  • Career Growth: Clear progression paths from Crew Lead to Mitigation Project Manager or Operations leadership.

  • Gear & Vehicles: Complete uniform supply, specialized industry tools, and dedicated company production vehicles provided for site visits.
