Senior Product Designer
Tavus is pioneering human computing by building AI Humans—a new interface that enables meaningful, face-to-face conversations between people and machines. As a Senior Product Designer, you'll lead the design of our developer portal and shape the future of how users create AI-powered products like digital employees and caretakers. You'll join a small, creative team at a Series B company backed by Sequoia Capital and Y Combinator, working to bridge the human-machine divide in thoughtful, innovative ways.
What you'll do
- Lead the design of key products, starting with our developer portal and expanding into an innovative builder experience for creating AI-first applications.
- Craft intuitive interfaces and engaging user experiences that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Develop sketches, interactive prototypes, specs, and polished designs that help users realize their AI-powered visions.
- Continuously refine user journeys and interactions to ensure clarity, usability, and delightful experiences.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to explore and implement innovative solutions that redefine human-computer interaction.
What Tavus is looking for
- 4+ years of experience designing digital products, with a portfolio showcasing thoughtful builder interactions and complex workflows.
- Strong expertise in Interaction Design, Visual Design, and Motion Design or prototyping; Conversation Design experience is a plus.
- Deep passion for human-computer interaction and enabling meaningful human connections through technology.
- Ability to distill complexity into intuitive, elegant solutions.
- Comfort with AI tools and an understanding of AI-native design constraints and opportunities.
- Self-starter mentality with an owner mindset, thriving in early-stage startup environments with ambiguity and resource constraints.
This role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
