About this role
Position: Junior Production Welder
Location: Plano, TX Schedule: Full‑time
Overview: The Junior Production Welder supports manufacturing by performing basic welding tasks, assembling metal components, and maintaining quality standards in a fast‑paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG/TIG welding on steel and aluminum components
- Read and follow basic blueprints, work orders, and production specs
- Operate grinders, cutters, and other fabrication tools
- Inspect welds for accuracy, defects, and structural integrity
- Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all safety protocols
- Assist senior welders and production leads as needed
Qualifications
- 0–2 years welding experience (school or shop experience accepted)
- Ability to pass a weld test
- Basic understanding of welding tools and safety practices
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Preferred
- Welding certification (AWS or equivalent)
- Experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication
